Emotional Summary
OK now. I've been using Linux for 5 months after ages of Windows expirience. I've seen this and that, I tried using my Ubuntu at work and at home, I have it on notebook and desktop. What can I say?
Nice:
- It's free, REALLY
- The distro I used is really easy, it "Just Works" :)
- It has a bunch of software out of box, almost all drivers are bundled (no need to set it up)
- I can have an apache virtual hosting expirience right in my desktop box (it's for my job)
- There IS some gaming!
- Much more things I cant remember now…
But the real problem is:

What should be posted here
This site is dedicated to DELUX (see what it stands for in the page header). I'm interested in searching and reviewing the desktop software, that is worth it.
I'm looking for apps that are free, easy and such, that every 10-year Windows veteran would be happy to use (and enjoy it). There were some ports of known Windows apps to Linux — I want it! I know there are software gems other OS warriors could only dream of — post it here! And, of course, update the existing information if you want to.
And please remember — desktop software only. CUPS, LVM and Apache are bundled nowadays.
